Summary
I have been involved in the marine construction industry both above and below the water for the last 25 years. In that time, I have been heavily involved in pumps, dredges, fluid management and tailings operations on various sites in the energy sector. I have taken part in everything from inspections to construction and salvage. My knowledge and experience in the maintenance and repairs of pumps, compressors, generators, engines, heating and cooling systems, and other mechanical systems is extensive.
For the last 7 years I have been employed by North American Construction working at Suncor base mine and Fort Hills in Tailings. I have been involved in general operations as well as bigger projects. I have always taken safety very seriously, and believe education and mindfulness are the keys to keeping people safe. As a Supervisor/Manager, I have been responsible to plan jobs, procure materials and equipment, bid on work as well as complete competitive estimates. I have also directed the day-to-day work with crews both in the field and in a shop. I am quick to pick up new knowledge and skills and I embrace continuing education. I am used to coordinating groups of multidiscipline personnel and third-party contractors.
